Moradabad SHO's Blunt Warning to Eve-teasers Goes Viral: 'Cast an Evil Eye on Our Sisters and Daughters, I'll Drag You Through the Streets'

At a public outreach meeting in Moradabad's Kundarki police station area, station officer Hamveer Singh issued a stern open-mic warning to harassers — and the video is now spreading rapidly online.

A video from Moradabad has been drawing plenty of attention on social media. In it, a uniformed police officer stands before a village gathering and, in an unmistakably tough tone, warns those who harass women and young girls. His message is simple and direct: anyone who misbehaves with sisters and daughters will be dealt with right there at the public square.

Where It Happened

The footage is from a public outreach session, or jan chaupal, held in the Kundarki police station area of Moradabad district. Kundarki police had organised the gathering in the village of Jalalpur Khas to speak directly with residents, and a large number of villagers turned out for it. The meeting also saw an open exchange between the police and locals on several issues.

The Officer's Tough Stand

As soon as Kundarki station officer Hamveer Singh began addressing the crowd, he turned his attention to the men who harass and misbehave with women, sisters and daughters. He warned them so sharply that the people present broke into applause in support. It is this attitude that has propelled the clip across the internet, putting the district police's hard line against harassers in the spotlight.

What the Station Officer Said

The officer spoke without mincing words. He said: 'If anyone casts an evil eye on my sister or daughter or misbehaves with them, I will drag him through the streets, beating him as I go. I will not listen to any middleman or any recommendation in such matters. Sisters and daughters belong to everyone — they are mine too. Everyone knows what such a sister or daughter goes through, and what her parents endure. Let this reach everyone's ears. I will accept no compromise, no source, no recommendation, no brokering. I will not spare anyone — I will thrash him soundly and send him to jail.'

Connecting With the Public Through Jan Chaupals

Notably, Moradabad police have been holding such jan chaupals across every police station area so they can speak directly with ordinary people and understand their grievances. The hard-hitting video of Kundarki station officer Hamveer Singh has become an example of just how firmly the district police are prepared to act against eve-teasers and harassers.
