Fresh off the success of the ‘Dhurandhar’ franchise, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has now turned his focus to his next project, ‘Pralay’. These days, however, he is in the headlines less for the film and more for a controversy. Reports of his exit from Farhan Akhtar's ‘Don 3’ have kept the chatter alive, and that may well be why he has pulled back from the media and the paparazzi. So when he was recently spotted outside director Hansal Mehta's office in Mumbai, it was his look that grabbed everyone's attention.
In a video shared on Instagram by celebrity photographer Viral Bhayani, Ranveer is seen stepping out of Hansal Mehta's office. He had paired a black t-shirt with a matching blazer and trousers. What stood out was that he had completely covered his face with a mask, dark sunglasses and a black cap, and he did not exchange a single word with the paparazzi waiting outside.
Is A Big ‘Pralay’ Update On The Way?
Ranveer's mysterious look has set off plenty of speculation among fans. Many believe he could soon drop some major information about his next film, ‘Pralay’. One fan wrote, ‘Ranveer Singh was seen outside Hansal Mehta's office. Could we get to see something related to Pralay on his birthday?’ For the record, Ranveer's birthday falls on 6 July. Another user commented, ‘Maybe this is the look of his new film and he doesn't want to reveal it yet.’ A third fan asked, ‘Is this the look for ‘Pralay’ or for ‘Dhurandhar 3’?’
‘Pralay’ Will Be A Zombie Survival Thriller
With this film, Ranveer Singh is gearing up to make a big splash at the box office. ‘Pralay’ will be a big-budget, post-apocalyptic zombie survival thriller, packed with destruction, terror and the kind of dangerous visuals never seen before in Indian cinema. Interestingly, the film is being helmed by Hansal Mehta's son Jai Mehta, who is set to begin his directorial career with this very project.
A 300 Crore Budget And An International Team
If the buzz around the film is to be believed, its budget has been set at around 300 crore rupees. An international technical team has also been brought on board to give the zombie universe a grand and realistic look. The script has been written by Jai Mehta along with ‘Lootere’ fame writer Vishal Kapoor. There is also plenty of talk about the female lead opposite Ranveer. It is believed that popular South actress Kalyani Priyadarshan could feature in the film. After the resounding success of ‘Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra’, she may make her Bollywood debut with ‘Pralay’.
