Plans are underway to bring the spiritual journey and life of Vrindavan-based saint Premanand Maharaj to the silver screen. Jagadguru Shankaracharya Himangi Sakhi of the Vaishnav Kinnar Akhada has publicly announced a feature film based on the revered spiritual leader. Titled 'Radha Ansh', the project aims to portray the teachings, devotion, and life story of the renowned saint on a cinematic scale.
Conceptualisation of 'Radha Ansh'
Following discussions around another spiritual title, 'Hanuman Ansh', Himangi Sakhi presented the vision for 'Radha Ansh'. The proposed motion picture seeks to capture Sant Premanand Maharaj's deep dedication to Radha Rani and spread his spiritual message to a wider global audience. The announcement has immediately sparked wide interest among both devotees and movie enthusiasts.
Speculation Surrounding Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma
Shortly after the announcement, intense speculation surfaced regarding the potential involvement of star cricketer Virat Kohli and his actor wife Anushka Sharma. Both individuals are known to be ardent followers of Sant Premanand Maharaj and have repeatedly visited his ashram in Vrindavan to seek his blessings. Their prominent public devotion to the saint has fueled discussions about whether they might play a role in or support the biographical project.
Formal Approvals and Next Steps
Despite the growing buzz, the project remains in its initial proposal stage. Neither Virat Kohli nor Anushka Sharma has issued an official statement confirming participation in the film. Furthermore, Sant Premanand Maharaj and his disciples have not yet granted formal consent or approval for the cinematic adaptation. Himangi Sakhi is slated to meet Premanand Maharaj in person shortly to discuss the project details and seek his blessing and official permission.
