India has recorded a robust GDP growth rate of 7.8 percent for the April to June quarter, surpassing expectations and prompting strong praise for the national economy from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Reacting to the official figures, the Prime Minister launched a sharp critique against critics who had attempted to spread negativity surrounding the domestic economic outlook.
Attributing success to citizens
The Prime Minister credited this major milestone entirely to the rigorous hard work and strong resolve of the countrys 140 crore citizens. While the global landscape continues to grapple with severe economic uncertainties and recessionary pressures, the rapid pace of expansion stands as concrete proof of the underlying strength and resilience of the Indian economic framework, keeping the nation positioned as the fastest-growing major economy worldwide.
Video message shared from Bishkek
In a video message posted on X and Instagram during his visit to Bishkek, the Prime Minister stated that the entire nation rejoices over the 7.8 percent growth figure. He noted that despite ongoing global conflicts, disrupted supply chains, and widespread instability persisting since the pandemic era, the country continues to march forward.
Addressing domestic critics
The Prime Minister further pointed out that certain domestic elements remain immersed in darkness, spreading falsehoods and attempting to demoralize the public. Overcoming these hurdles to achieve such strong numbers requires maintaining this momentum through the pursuit of self-reliance.
