Telecommunications giant Reliance Jio has demonstrated expansive growth across its operational metrics, propelled by aggressive network additions and surging consumer internet adoption. The platform has officially expanded its 5G subscriber footprint to 300 million users. Over the twelve-month timeframe spanning 1 October 2025 to 30 September 2026, the company brought in an incremental 66 million 5G customers. Across its combined services, the aggregate user base climbed past 542 million, while the fixed broadband segment simultaneously reached the 30 million subscriber benchmark.
Accelerating Data Consumption Across the Wireless Grid
Subscriber growth was mirrored by dramatic intensifications in overall traffic volumes. Average monthly data consumption per customer touched 44.2 GB, highlighting heavy continuous engagement with high-speed wireless connectivity. Traffic originating from 5G connections now comprises approximately 56 percent of the company's entire wireless data volume. During the September quarter, aggregate network data traffic jumped 22.1 percent year-on-year to touch 71 exabytes, underscoring systemic shifts toward heavy streaming, gaming, and digital cloud workflows.
Fixed Broadband Momentum Led by Jio AirFiber
Home and enterprise connectivity also experienced robust inroads, driven largely by the fixed wireless offering Jio AirFiber. Customer accounts on AirFiber climbed to 15.1 million. Over the previous twelve-month period, the service represented upwards of 75 percent of all net additions recorded across the fixed broadband division. In terms of overall network connectivity, the total customer roster expanded by a net 36 million over the year, with the September quarter alone supplying 9.1 million net additions.
Earnings Expansion and Historic Market Debut
The continuous enlargement of the digital network translated directly into stronger fiscal performance. Quarterly gross revenue advanced 11.3 percent to touch 47,485 crore rupees, while operating profitability as measured by EBITDA increased 16.6 percent to reach 21,879 crore rupees. The crucial monetization gauge, average revenue per user (ARPU), strengthened to 218.8 rupees. These quarterly operational benchmarks follow the firm's trading debut on 28 October. Sized at 30,188 crore rupees, the public offering set a record as the largest IPO in Indian history, securing over 22 times subscription. Following its debut, Jio Platforms emerged as the nation's second most valuable publicly listed corporation by market capitalization, delivering over 27 percent returns to its investors.
