Released without a massive star-studded cast or heavy promotional campaigns, the film Hanuman Ansh has officially completed 74 days inside cinema halls. Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the feature started its theatrical run facing initial hurdles in attracting audiences, but it has steadily evolved into a remarkable box office success story over two and a half months.
Steady Box Office Figures and Long Run
According to data from Sacnilk, the film managed to pull in a net collection of 28 lakh rupees in India on its 74th day. Across the country, the feature was screened in a total of 454 shows, driven largely by its Hindi version which contributed 28 lakh rupees across 447 shows, while specific figures for its Telugu run were not detailed. This pushes the domestic net collection to an impressive 340.13 crore rupees, with the total Indian gross collection resting at 401.39 crore rupees.
Strong Overseas Business
Beyond domestic borders, the cinematic venture also found a welcoming international audience. The overseas business added a solid 48.60 crore rupees to the totals, lifting the worldwide cumulative earnings of Hanuman Ansh to a staggering 449.99 crore rupees, outperforming many expectations set for a moderate-budget project.
Competition Against Major Releases
The staying power of Hanuman Ansh is particularly notable given the intense box office competition it faced from high-profile titles such as Drishyam 3 and Jailer 2. Despite sharing screen space with these heavy-hitters, the film managed to retain its footing. Meanwhile, the Rajinikanth-starrer Jailer 2 dominated the screens from its very opening, racing past the 477 crore rupee milestone by its fifth day.
Language-wise Breakdown of Jailer 2
Rajinikanth's film pulled in 42.35 crore rupees on its fifth day alone across 15,215 shows in all languages combined. The Tamil version led the charge by generating 31.40 crore rupees from 7,853 shows, followed by the Telugu version with 7.15 crore rupees from 2,144 shows. The Hindi version brought in 3.35 crore rupees from 5,044 shows, while the Kannada version added 45 lakh rupees from 174 shows. This brought Jailer 2's total Indian net collection to 242.25 crore rupees and gross collection to 283.75 crore rupees, alongside an overseas gross of 194 crore rupees, culminating in a worldwide total of 477.75 crore rupees.
