Registration is currently underway for the Delhi government's flagship welfare initiative, the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana. Under this scheme, eligible women receive monthly financial assistance of Rs 2,500. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that more than 5.92 lakh women registered for the program within just ten days of its launch. The administration has set a target to provide aid to 17 lakh deserving women across the region and affirmed that the registration drive will remain open until this goal is met.
Financial Aid Distribution and Enrollment Response
The scheme is designed to enhance financial independence among women in lower-income households by transferring Rs 2,500 directly into their verified bank accounts every month. Highlighting the swift intake of applications, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the registration process will not halt before reaching the intended 17 lakh beneficiaries. The initial response shows over 5.92 lakh completed registrations during the first ten days of operations.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
To qualify for the monthly stipend under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, applicants must satisfy specific demographic and economic conditions established by the government
- The applicant must be the eldest female member in the family as of the application submission date.
- The applicant's age must fall between 21 years and 60 years.
- The annual family income from all sources must not exceed Rs 2,50,000.
- The beneficiary or her husband must be a Delhi resident or must have resided in the Delhi region for more than 10 years at the time of submitting the application.
How to Check Application Status Online
Applicants who have submitted their forms can easily monitor the progress of their applications online. The portal allows beneficiaries to track whether their form has been verified or approved.
To begin, visit the official application tracking portal. Enter your registered mobile number, date of birth, and the valid captcha code shown on the page. After submitting these details, the system will display your current application status so you can take any necessary follow-up steps.
Online Registration and Document Submission Steps
New applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can complete their registration and submit their documentation through the official online platform by following these steps
Access the main portal at the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana login page. Candidates who do not have an existing account must create one first by navigating to the official registration page. Enter required personal details including your Aadhaar number, full name as listed on the Aadhaar card, gender, date of birth, and the captcha verification code.
Once registered, log in using your credentials such as registration ID, password, and captcha. Complete the application form by providing family information and bank account details for direct fund transfer. Finally, upload the required supporting documents along with a signed endorsement letter from a Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) before submitting the final application.
