The women's 60kg division featured a tense quarterfinal encounter between world number 4 Priya Ghanghas and Scotland's Niamh Mitchell. Supported by an energetic home crowd, Mitchell started strongly and took the opening round. Undeterred by the early deficit, Priya launched a spirited fightback in the second round, adjusting her strategy to land effective clean scoring punches.
