This eco-friendly wedding procession took place in Sardar Tanda, a small hamlet within Itkuti village under the Bijua block of Lakhimpur Kheri district. Rajesh Singh, the son of Kishan Bahadur Singh, was scheduled to marry Mamta, the daughter of Omprakash, who resides in Aam Tanda. While the wedding rituals themselves followed traditional customs, it was the groom's unconventional transport choice that became the talk of the town. Rejecting the standard practice of booking expensive cars, Rajesh insisted on using a fleet of emission-free e-rickshaws for his big day.

For the journey, 20 e-rickshaws were hired and adorned with vibrant, colorful flowers. Around 150 wedding guests, along with the groom, boarded these decorated eco-friendly vehicles and set off towards the bride's village. As the long line of flower-decked e-rickshaws moved down the local roads and highways, it created a spectacular sight. Onlookers and passing motorists slowed down to witness the unique procession, which stood out amidst the usual noisy and polluting wedding convoys.

When the procession finally reached Mamta's residence in Aam Tanda, the bride's family and local villagers were pleasantly surprised. Seeing the groom arrive in an e-rickshaw, the hosts welcomed him with loud applause and cheers.
