Walking in at number three, Ishan Kishan understood the urgency of the shortened game and immediately took the attack to the opposition bowlers. He tore into the West Indies bowling attack, hammering thirty runs from just ten balls at a staggering strike rate of three hundred. His aggressive onslaught visibly rattled opposing captain Shai Hope, before Shamar Joseph finally dismissed him to give the visitors some breathing room. During his brief stay at the crease, Ishan struck three boundaries and two towering sixes.
