Capitalizing on festive consumer momentum, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has refreshed its retro roadster catalog by introducing the Honda CB350C Black Edition. The motorcycle caters specifically to buyers seeking classic silhouette proportions married with a darker, bolder visual aesthetic.
Aesthetic Overhaul and Blacked-Out Accents
The revised package is built around the entry-level STD trim of the platform. Rather than modifying the underpinning mechanical hardware, designers directed attention entirely toward cosmetic enhancements. In contrast to the standard Pearl Igneous Black offering, several critical structural elements have received a full blacked-out treatment, lending the bike an imposing, muscular posture.
Key darkened components include the protective headlight cowl, the twin rear-view mirror assemblies, and the metal support stays bracing the front fender. Furthermore, technicians coated the lower section of the front telescopic forks, the horn housing, and the branded crankcase plate in a deep black paint finish.
Preserving Classic Contrast and Styling
Despite the darkened treatment across primary panels, the retro appeal remains anchored by tasteful polished accents. The exhaust system, the handlebar assembly, the mounting clamps, and the rear twin shock absorber hardware retain their bright chrome and silver presentation. A sculpted fuel tank and broad rounded fenders complement the overall classic silhouette without diluting its roadster lineage.
Powertrain Outputs and Hardware Specifications
Under the skin, the mechanical configuration carries forward without alterations. Propulsion comes from a 348.36 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine tuned to deliver 20.79 bhp at 5,500 rpm alongside 29.5 Nm of torque peaking at 3,000 rpm. Power reaches the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch to streamline gear transitions.
Chassis Dynamics, Features, and Market Rivals
Braking responsibilities are managed by a 310 mm front disc combined with a 240 mm rotor at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS. Riders also benefit from the Honda Selectable Torque Control electronic safety net. The bike features a 15.2-liter fuel reservoir, provides 165 mm of ground clearance, and registers an official kerb weight of 186 kg. Depending on the exact grade chosen, Honda RoadSync Bluetooth connectivity is offered.
On-road pricing for the CB350C Black Edition is estimated around ₹2.32 lakh, subject to regional taxation, municipal levies, and selected insurance plans. In the competitive retro roadster segment, the motorcycle squares off against longstanding rivals like the Royal Enfield 350 and the Jawa 350.
