Royal Enfield had a standout June 2026, selling a total of 1,14,032 units of motorcycles, up 27 percent from the 89,540 units it sold in the same month last year. The surge was driven largely by motorcycles under 350cc, which posted particularly strong growth during the month.
Domestic market and sub-350cc bikes lead the charge
Motorcycles below 350cc were the biggest driver of growth, with 1,04,139 units sold in June, marking a sharp 36 percent jump. This segment remains the largest contributor to the company's overall sales. The domestic market also proved to be the backbone of the company's performance, with 1,02,930 units sold, a year-on-year rise of 34 percent.
Larger bikes and exports see a slowdown
Not every segment grew at the same pace, though. The above-350cc category saw a decline, with 9,893 units sold, down 23 percent. Exports also softened during the month, with a total of 11,102 units shipped abroad, a drop of 12 percent compared to the year before. Even so, the overall numbers worked in the company's favour, as strength in the domestic market and the sub-350cc segment more than offset the weakness in exports and larger motorcycles.
First quarter numbers also impressive
The momentum wasn't limited to June alone. For the first three months of financial year 2026-27, that is April to June, Royal Enfield sold a total of 3,30,427 units, up 24 percent compared to the same period a year earlier. The 350cc segment grew 30 percent during this quarter, while domestic sales rose 32 percent. However, exports and the above-350cc segment continued to see mild softness through the quarter as well.
Deliveries begin for the company's first electric motorcycle
June also marked another important milestone for Royal Enfield. The company began delivering its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flee C6, to customers in Bengaluru. The model has been launched under the company's City+ Electric brand and has received a strongly positive response from customers so far. Royal Enfield plans to roll out the model in a phased manner across other cities as well. Alongside this, the company is strengthening its connected ownership ecosystem, improving service support and roadside assistance for customers.
