Addressing this observation, Tej Pratap remarked that every son inherently aspires to emulate his father and build a recognized name for himself in society.
Addressing the Emotional Impact of Living Apart
When asked directly whether residing away from his home causes him personal distress, Tej Pratap Yadav grew noticeably emotional. Expressing his resignation to fate, he stated, "Whatever the Almighty has written will happen, and neither you nor I can do anything about it." He indicated that he accepts his current personal circumstances as an outcome of destiny beyond human control.
Origins of the Family Rift and Social Media Controversy
Tej Pratap Yadav has been living independently from Lalu Prasad Yadav and the rest of his family for an extended period. The split occurred prior to the Bihar Assembly elections following a controversy involving personal photographs. In May last year, images concerning personal relationships were published from his social media account, provoking widespread discussion. Although the content was subsequently removed, Lalu Prasad Yadav and the family reacted strongly to the incident.
Party Expulsion and Formation of Janshakti Janata Dal
Following the public controversy, Lalu Prasad Yadav announced a formal separation on X, stating that Tej Pratap Yadav was being distanced from both the family and the party structure. The post specified that Tej Pratap would hold no ongoing organizational responsibilities and confirmed his expulsion from the party for a period of six years. Subsequently, Tej Pratap relocated to a separate residential bungalow and launched a political platform named Janshakti Janata Dal in Bihar. He contested the Assembly elections under this banner; however, the initiative failed to secure electoral success, and he suffered a personal defeat in the polls.
