In a major breakthrough, law enforcement authorities in the Alwar district of Rajasthan have arrested a woman and her lover who had been absconding for over three years. The duo was wanted in connection with a premeditated case involving the drugging of her husband and in-laws, followed by the theft of cash and valuable jewellery from their residence. The arrest brings to an end a prolonged hunt that started over 36 months ago when the complaint was first lodged by the affected family.
The Night of the Conspiracy and Drugged Dinner
According to the official details of the case, the incident originated when the complainant filed a formal report with the local police, detailing the severe allegations against his wife. The complaint stated that the woman had conspired with her lover to orchestrate a theft at her marital home. On the night of the crime, she intentionally mixed an incapacitating substance or sedative into the food prepared for the dinner. Unaware of the adulteration, the family members consumed the meal and subsequently collapsed into unconsciousness. Taking advantage of the situation, the woman gathered the cash reserves and jewellery kept inside the house before fleeing the scene alongside her accomplice.
Evading Arrest for Over Three Years
Following the discovery of the crime and the recovery of the victims, a formal criminal case was registered based on the husband's complaint, initiating a full-scale police inquiry. However, locating the duo proved to be an uphill task for law enforcement officials. The suspects repeatedly changed their locations and maintained a low profile, successfully dodging police networks for more than three years. Tracking down the fleeing pair remained a persistent operational challenge until recent investigative leads enabled the police team to close in on them and execute their arrest.
