The devotional film Hanuman Ansh, directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, has achieved a massive box office milestone by crossing the 400 crore rupee mark globally within 52 days of its theatrical run. Released on August 7, the feature has captured public attention far beyond typical box office trajectories, outperforming high-budget Bollywood and regional releases.
An Unprecedented Box Office Journey
Operating in its eighth weekend, the production continues to draw audiences to cinemas, defying the traditional box office curve where most films fade after seven weeks. The title began its journey with humble beginnings on a microscopic budget of just 10 lakh rupees. During its opening fortnight, the collection stood at approximately 1.50 crore rupees, pointing to initial struggles in securing screen space with only three theatres allotted at launch.
Word of Mouth Triggers Exponential Growth
Positive audience reception gradually shifted momentum, leading to a dramatic surge in ticket sales after the fourth week. Domestic net collections climbed to over 60 crore rupees weekly as public support widened. International territories also embraced the release, turning what started as a small-scale project into a global success story.
Surpassing Industry Heavyweights
During the eighth weekend alone, domestic net collections reached 18.95 crore rupees across three days, with Sunday bringing in around 9 crore rupees. This pushed the domestic net total to 307 crore rupees and gross collections to approximately 362 crore rupees, securing its entry into the 300-crore club for Hindi cinema.
Worldwide, the total business scaled to 401.20 crore rupees. In doing so, it surpassed the lifetime collections of notable titles such as Krrish 3 at 393 crore rupees, Chennai Express at 392 crore rupees, 3 Idiots at 400 crore rupees, and the divine-themed box office hit Kantara at 401 crore rupees.
