Ira and Nupur Arrive in the Rain
Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan arrived with her husband Nupur Shikhare to attend her father's wedding. The couple was spotted outside Aamir's residence in heavy rain, hurrying inside to avoid getting drenched.
Raj Thackeray and the Ambani Family Attend
The wedding drew guests beyond close family, with Raj Thackeray and members of the Ambani family also arriving for the ceremony. Paparazzo Viral Bhayani shared video of the arrivals, showing celebrities making their way indoors as rain lashed Mumbai.
Daytime Rituals, a Registered Marriage and Lunch
Aamir Khan had planned to complete all the rituals tied to his third marriage during the day. The couple is getting a registered marriage under the Special Marriage Act, after which a lunch has been arranged for guests. The menu for the meal features dishes that are personal favourites of both Aamir and Gauri.
A "Small" Wedding With Around 150 Guests
Even though Aamir Khan has described the event as a small celebration, close to 150 people are expected to attend. The guest list includes close family members, friends and a select group of personalities from the film industry. Aamir and Gauri together decided both the guest list and the food to be served to their visitors.
Aamir's Message to Fans
Speaking about the wedding recently, Aamir Khan said, "The wedding is on July 5. We are getting married at home. It is a very small wedding. The 5th is a very special day for us. Both families and a few close friends will be there." He added that he and Gauri are excited about the wedding and asked fans to send their blessings.
How Aamir and Gauri First Met
Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt were first introduced through his cousin Nuzhat Khan. Aamir publicly presented Gauri as his partner before his 60th birthday in March last year, by which point the two had already been dating for about a year.
