In a significant boost to the industrial ecosystem of Madhya Pradesh, two state of the art high technology manufacturing facilities were officially inaugurated in Pithampur, located within Dhar district, on August 20. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat jointly launched the Corsis advanced optical fiber unit and the Volters battery manufacturing plant. The inauguration marks the start of a transformative industrial phase for the Pithampur region, which is projected to generate over 30,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities for the local workforce.
Third Largest German Tech Facility in the Country
Speaking to media representatives following the launch event, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the strategic importance of introducing these two employment generating industries. He stated that the new complex, which focuses on manufacturing digital optical fiber and lithium batteries, stands as the third largest unit of its kind in India. Developed using advanced German technology, the facility is designed to support high tech production needs. The Chief Minister emphasized that such technological investments are essential for accelerating the economic prosperity of Madhya Pradesh while contributing meaningfully to the overall financial expansion of the nation.
Rapid Transformation of the Tribal Majority Dhar Region
Reflecting on the ongoing industrial progress in Dhar, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav noted that this was his second official visit to Pithampur within a single month. During his previous visit, several other industrial projects were similarly inaugurated and handed over to the public. He emphasized that the various memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed in earlier investment summits are now actively materializing on the ground. Once categorized among the backward areas, the tribal dominated Dhar district and its industrial hub Pithampur have transformed into one of the fastest growing economic zones in the entire state.
Broader Vision for State Development and Cooperation
Prior to the factory inaugurations in Dhar, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had delivered an official address to the citizens of Madhya Pradesh on the eve of Independence Day on August 14. In that state message, he detailed key aspects of state development, economic roadmap, public cooperation, and incoming investments. He paid special attention to agricultural growth and expressed satisfaction over the favorable rainfall across the state. The Chief Minister reiterated that continuous, inclusive development of Madhya Pradesh relies heavily on mutual cooperation among citizens and dedicated governance.
