Participating in two of those fixtures, Sooryavanshi delivered two impactful half-centuries, securing total individual credentials that translated into a massive surge of 230 positions in the global standings. Moving up from his previous 278th rank following the England tour, the young left-hander has now established himself at the 48th position in the world.

Sooryavanshi showcased remarkable composure and aggressive strokeplay during his two appearances against Zimbabwe. Across those two innings, he amassed a total of 151 runs while maintaining a dominant batting average of 50.33. His outstanding contributions led to him picking up one Player of the Match award as well as being named the Player of the Series at just 15 years of age. This sensational performance directly triggered his meteoric rise in the ICC T20I batting list, where he currently holds 536 rating points. His rapid ascent underscores his growing reputation as one of the most promising young talents in Indian white-ball cricket.

The updated ICC T20I batting table reflects mixed fortunes for other key Indian batters who featured in the Zimbabwe assignment. Wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan retained his status as the world number one T20I batter, sitting firmly at the pinnacle with 910 rating points after accumulating 145 runs across the series. In contrast, opening batter Abhishek Sharma, who had previously dominated the top tier of the rankings for an extended spell, experienced a minor setback.
