Jalandhar Warriors opener Prabhsimran Singh continues to torment bowling attacks in the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League. In the tournament's 11th match, he smashed an explosive 90 off just 39 balls against Ludhiana Lions, an innings studded with 6 sixes and 7 fours.
Third straight fifty-plus knock
This was Prabhsimran's third consecutive match with a score of 50 or more. Just before facing Ludhiana Lions, he had blasted a devastating 125 against Amritsar Soorma, a knock that carried his form straight into this game.
Two hundreds, two half-centuries this season
His run this season shows just how destructive he has been with the bat. He opened his campaign with 76 off 42 balls against Fazilka Falcons, then followed it up with 125 off 47 balls against Amritsar Soorma. After that came a 110-run innings against Bathinda Royals, and now a 90 off 39 balls against Ludhiana Lions, taking his season tally to two centuries and two half-centuries in the league.
He has flashed this kind of form in the IPL too
This is not the first time Prabhsimran Singh has gone on such a rampage. He has produced similarly explosive spells in the IPL as well. In one innings he hit six fours off six consecutive balls, only the third time this has happened in IPL history. In IPL 2026, he broke a Chris Gayle record and moved ahead of batters like Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill. In IPL 2025, he broke a Sunil Narine record, scoring 69 runs at a strike rate of 203. For one 80-run innings, he credited Yuvraj Singh rather than Ricky Ponting for the inspiration behind his batting.
