Delhi Police has dealt a major blow to the criminal syndicates operating under US-based fugitive gangster Himanshu Bhau. In a coordinated operation, the Counter Intelligence unit of the Special Cell successfully apprehended four key operatives of the gang who were hiding out in Kota, Rajasthan. This high-profile arrest is expected to unravel multiple high-stakes criminal conspiracies. The individuals taken into custody have been identified as Raman alias Fauji, Karan, Shekhar Tiwari, and Vinod Tiwari. Among them, Shekhar and Vinod are real brothers, while Raman and Karan were wanted in connection with several major murder cases and rampant shooting sprees. Both shooters were wanted for their direct involvement in the brazen daylight murder of a dairy owner in Delhi's Ayanagar, the Mohit Dagar murder case, and violent shooting incidents across Rohtak and Bulandshahr. Law enforcement agencies across multiple states had announced cash bounties on their capture.
Intelligence Inputs Led to Kota Raid
According to Delhi Police officials, the Counter Intelligence team of the Special Cell had received credible technical and human intelligence inputs indicating that hardcore operatives affiliated with the Himanshu Bhau syndicate had sought refuge in Kota, Rajasthan. Acting swiftly on this actionable intelligence, a dedicated police team launched a targeted operation, cordoned off the designated area, and successfully nabbed all four suspects. Initial interrogation has revealed that Raman and Karan operated as the primary hitmen for the syndicate, whereas Shekhar and Vinod Tiwari were tasked with providing safe hideouts and shelter to the fugitive shooters. Furthermore, the two brothers played a crucial role in laundering and moving the syndicate's illicit funds through various channels and accounts. The police are currently probing their broader financial network and accomplice web to dismantle the entire support system.
Over 70 Rounds Fired in Ayanagar Dairy Owner Murder
Police records indicate that Raman and Karan were the masterminds behind the shocking daylight murder of a dairy owner in Delhi's Ayanagar locality last year. The brutal incident took place on November 30, 2025. On that fateful morning, 52-year-old dairy owner Ratan Lohia was headed towards his dairy when armed assailants ambushed him and opened indiscriminate fire. The attackers demonstrated extreme brutality by discharging more than 70 rounds of bullets to execute the murder. Post-mortem and forensic examinations subsequently revealed that roughly 69 bullets had pierced Ratan Lohia's body. Investigations uncovered that Raman and Karan had been given a 'supari' (contract) to carry out the assassination, and both had been evading arrest ever since.
Involvement in the Mohit Dagar Murder Case
Both accused were also heavily implicated in the murder of 25-year-old Mohit Dagar, which occurred on August 4, 2025, in Delhi's Mohan Garden and Dwarka Mor area. While Mohit Dagar was commuting, three motorcycle-borne assailants intercepted him and pumped multiple bullets into him, resulting in his instant death. Immediately after the heinous crime, the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang brazenly claimed responsibility for the execution on various platforms. Subsequent police investigations established beyond doubt that the gruesome task had been carried out by Raman and Karan.
Shootouts in Rohtak and Bulandshahr
The criminal footprint of Raman and Karan extended well beyond the national capital into neighboring Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. According to law enforcement authorities, the duo was actively involved in a December 2025 shootout in Retoli village within Haryana's Rohtak district. The primary target of that armed assault was Sunny Retoli, a known rival of Himanshu Bhau. While one person lost their life in the crossfire, four others sustained serious injuries. Additionally, both suspects were wanted in connection with a shooting incident that transpired in May 2026 within the Kakor area of Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh, where they targeted Jitendra alias Jeetu, a rival of gangster Neeraj Faridpuria.
Carbine Attack on Palwal Sarpanch
Expanding his violent streak, Karan was also accused of opening fire on the sarpanch of Maheshpur village in Haryana's Palwal district back in December 2024. In that brazen attack, the assailants utilized a lethal military-grade automatic weapon like a carbine, spreading widespread panic in the rural area. Several other criminal cases stand registered against him in Rohtak. Meanwhile, shooter Raman alias Fauji was also wanted by the Delhi Crime Branch in connection with an Arms Act case. Both individuals were wanted for orchestrating a heavy spell of firing at the residence of Shekhar Rao located in Kutubpur locality of Rewari in May 2024.
Brothers Provided Safe Havens and Managed Funds
The Special Cell has initiated a rigorous inquiry into the specific roles played by Shekhar Tiwari and Vinod Tiwari, who were arrested alongside the main shooters. Hailing originally from Zikhan village in the Govardhan area of Mathura district in Uttar Pradesh, the two brothers allegedly provided secure sanctuaries to the fugitive gunmen. Beyond harboring criminals, they facilitated the gang's financial operations. Investigators are probing them as part of a money mule network, where they funneled extortion money and syndicate funds across multiple bank accounts and alternative financial channels to keep the criminal enterprise funded.
