A bizarre and shocking incident has come to light from Basiya village under the Dambola police station jurisdiction in Dungarpur district. Two intruders targeted the Govind Guru Government Higher Secondary School under the cover of night. Breaking into the premises by forcing open the locks, the miscreants went on a rampage inside, though their primary objective seemed less about stealing valuables and more about showcasing their audacity in front of security cameras. This strange occurrence has left local residents stunned while police continue their efforts to track down the culprits.
Intruders Force Entry Into the Premises
The locks of the Govind Guru Government Higher Secondary School in Basiya were found broken on a Sunday night. Once inside the building, the perpetrators made their way directly to the principal's office. They vandalized internet-related equipment stored in the room and scattered stationery and other items across the tables. In an attempt to conceal their identities, they managed to cover a couple of cameras with sacks, but they overlooked several others, which ultimately captured their entire act on video.
Defiant Dancing Caught on Camera
Police officers were left astonished when they reviewed the footage from the remaining functional CCTV cameras on the school grounds. The video clearly shows two individuals dancing fearlessly right in front of the lens. Their actions strongly indicated a complete lack of fear regarding the police or the law. After creating a ruckus inside the premises for quite some time, the duo fled the scene. The incident came to light on Monday morning when the school reopened. Upon inspecting the premises and inventory, the school staff realized with relief that the thieves had not managed to take anything away from the school.
Police Investigation and Public Outrage
Upon receiving information about the break-in, Assistant Sub-Inspectors Narayan Lal and Chandan along with a police contingent from the Dambola police station rushed to the scene. The team inspected the site thoroughly. Police are now scrutinizing the CCTV footage in an attempt to identify the culprits. Over the past few days, incidents of theft and attempted burglary have been steadily rising across Dungarpur district, causing widespread anger and frustration among local villagers and traders. Following the episode at the Basiya school, residents have strongly urged the police administration to increase night patrols and take strict legal action against the fearless miscreants.
