AR Amin, the son of renowned music composer AR Rahman, narrowly escaped a dangerous road accident. The incident took place on Sunday in Chennai when his vehicle collided with another car on an elevated flyover. The singer's son was accompanied by a friend, and fortunately, both individuals came out of the mishap safe and sound without sustaining any major injuries.
The collision occurred near the Guindy area of Chennai at the Kathipara flyover. According to reports, AR Amin was traveling toward Koyambedu alongside his companion when the vehicle met with the mishap. Police officials stated that AR Amin was behind the wheel of a Porsche. Suddenly, a Wagon-R emerged onto the main road from a side lane, resulting in a direct impact between the two vehicles. It was confirmed that the artist's son was personally driving at the time.
Following the crash, the duo was taken to Kauvery Hospital as a precautionary measure. Since AR Amin and his friend only suffered minor scrapes, doctors discharged them shortly after arrival. They have now safely returned home. Meanwhile, local authorities have registered an official case regarding the incident.
While AR Rahman enjoys global acclaim for his iconic compositions, his son Amin is also carving out his own musical path. AR Amin made his playback singing debut in Mani Ratnam's film O Kadhal Kanmani, where he lent his voice to the track Maula Wa Sallim. Alongside his studio work, he frequently performs at various live musical concerts.
Looking at AR Rahman's professional commitments, the celebrated composer has provided the music for Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming production Ramayana. Additionally, his musical work will be featured in the upcoming film Bantwara starring Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta.
