Amid the promotional events for the project, the actor reflected on the technical intricacies of filmmaking and shared how experienced colleagues helped her navigate the craft during her formative years in the industry. During interactions alongside co-star Manoj Bajpayee and director Ben Rekhi, she discussed the deeper aspects of screen performance.
Early Struggles and Guidance from Seniors
Reflecting on her early days, the actor shared that there was a phase when she put in immense effort, but her performance did not translate effectively onto the screen due to a lack of technical awareness. She noted that while she was giving her best, her expressions and delivery were not landing visually as intended. Calling herself fortunate, she recalled how her seniors stepped in during those moments, reassuring her of her talent while pointing out what needed technical adjustment on camera.
Balancing Technique and Spontaneity
Over time, an actor learns to master these mechanics through continuous practice, she explained. According to her, the ideal approach is to prepare one's lines thoroughly, understand the technical layout of the shot, and then surrender completely to the moment. Looking directly into a co-star's eyes during a take generates genuine emotions, making every single take distinct and unpredictable.
Allowing Emotions to Flow Naturally
Elaborating on the organic nature of performance, she stated that emotional intensity naturally fluctuates and can often surprise the performer. Restricting oneself to rigid boundaries or attempting to hit a single pre-determined note limits the scope of acting. Instead, performers must allow their emotions to flow unhindered and naturally.

The film Last Man in Tower is an adaptation of Arvind Adiga's acclaimed novel of the same name. Set against the backdrop of a rapidly transforming Mumbai, the plot centers around a retired school teacher, played by Manoj Bajpayee, who lives in an aging apartment building. When a wealthy developer offers residents a massive financial payout to clear the property for a luxury high-rise, most inhabitants readily agree. However, Manoj Bajpayee's character refuses to leave, turning into the solitary obstacle in the path of the redevelopment project.
