Filmmaker Amit Jani has once again become the target of intimidation tactics. He has claimed that his upcoming project titled 'Kaala Hiran-The Battle For Legacy', which explores the case surrounding the blackbuck, has brought him into the crosshairs of unknown threatening elements. Recently, Jani received a threatening phone call followed by an audio message, explicitly warning him to abandon the production of this film. In response to these persistent threats, Amit Jani has formally approached law enforcement to seek protection and intervention.
Police Complaint and Investigation
Immediately after receiving the threat, Amit Jani dialed 112 to alert the police authorities. He has officially lodged a complaint at the Bhot police station in Rampur. Following this, the police have registered a case based on his statement and are currently conducting a follow-up investigation. Jani mentioned that he intends to provide all relevant details of these incidents to investigation agencies to help identify the individuals responsible for these threats and to understand their actual motives.
A History of Harassment
This is not an isolated incident for the producer, as he has faced similar intimidation in the past. According to Amit Jani, he was previously targeted while visiting Datia in Madhya Pradesh for work-related reasons. During that instance, he was sent threatening audio messages along with videos featuring weapons in an attempt to instill fear. Jani confirmed that he had reported those earlier incidents to the police as well.
Pressure to Compromise
Amit Jani alleges that there has been an ongoing effort by certain individuals to coerce him into reaching a compromise regarding the film. Despite these pressures, the producer has made it clear that he refuses to be intimidated into silence or withdrawal. He has demanded a thorough investigation into the matter to determine exactly who is behind these calls and what their true agenda might be. He emphasized that any other parties involved in orchestrating these threats should also be held accountable.
Concerns for Personal Safety
Expressing deep concern for the safety of his family and his production team, Jani stated that he holds the accused parties responsible for any potential harm. He declared that if any damage is caused to his family members, the film's director, the producers, or any other individual associated with the project, the legal liability will lie directly with those against whom he has already filed a complaint. He remains steadfast in his commitment to continuing the film's production despite the mounting risks.
