Bollywood actor Govinda recently opened up about the darkest and most challenging phase of his personal life. In an interview, he shared that there was a period when the loss of his mother left him utterly shattered, struggling to comprehend how to move forward or cope with the overwhelming sorrow.
The Profound Impact of Losing His Mother
In the year 1996, Govinda lost his mother, Nirmala Devi. The grief of her passing weighed heavily on his mind, plunging him into a severe state of shock. His bond with his mother was exceptionally close, and her departure made him feel as though his entire world and purpose for living had vanished.
Govinda explained during the interview that after losing her, he felt entirely devoid of any reason to live. He described battling immense inner pain, unsure of how to navigate or escape the profound void left behind, noting that the suffering was consuming him from within.
A Dangerous Moment Near the Narmada River
Continuing his recollection, Govinda detailed a terrifying incident when he found himself standing near the Narmada River. Consumed by heavy sorrow, he slowly began walking deeper into the flowing water, believing in that moment of despair that it might be the only way to reunite with his mother.
