The actress described the ordeal as the most harrowing period she has ever experienced, noting that the entire controversy left her deeply traumatized and inflicted severe damage on her professional career. Due to the intense scrutiny and ongoing investigations, she was forced to let go of numerous lucrative offers and working opportunities.
Speaking on a podcast titled Dream with Dr. Sheen, Nora Fatehi shared that she will never be able to erase those distressing circumstances from her memory. Reflecting on her lingering trauma, she admitted that even today, when her agency books her for an event, she attends simply to earn a living, but she carries a constant underlying fear about what might transpire. She noted that she learned this harsh lesson the hard way and that the situation was exploited by various quarters to spread malicious narratives about her. She expressed relief that her mother and close friends know her true character and upbringing, adding that had they not known her so intimately, they might have easily believed the falsehoods circulating in the public domain.
Nora characterized that specific timeframe as extremely delicate and painful. She elaborated that because of that single, baseless controversy, she lost endorsements and professional collaborations with multiple major brands. Even now, she remarked, people make casual remarks insinuating her acquaintance or involvement with that individual, which she firmly denies as completely untrue. The persistent public perception that she shared a romantic relationship with Sukesh weighed heavily on her mental well-being, as she struggled against widespread misconceptions.
Elaborating further, Nora urged individuals to be more mindful of how they utilize their social media platforms, expressing her firm belief in karma. She acknowledged attending the event in question and interacting with the family members and wife of the individual involved. She also confirmed receiving a car and other items as gifts, noting that she was assured at the time that those gestures were entirely normal.
