Reality television show Bigg Boss 20 continues to grab headlines as contestants inside the house share stories from their personal lives and past careers. Popular contestant Qazi Touqeer recently made a fascinating revelation about his professional journey. He explained that after winning Fame Gurukul, he was flooded with multiple project offers, but circumstances led his career down an unexpected path.
Fame Gurukul Victory And Early Success
During a conversation in the garden area with Amrapali Dubey, the Bhojpuri actress asked Qazi if he expected to receive so much love upon returning to the show after so many years. In response, Qazi expressed that he considers himself very fortunate to have won that show. Back in 2005, the prize money was 1 crore. Later in 2015, he worked creatively on Afghan Jalebi, which also turned out to be a blockbuster.
The Meeting With Ekta Kapoor
Elaborating further, Qazi mentioned that his career record has been 100 percent, but personal reasons kept him from taking up certain work. He had signed films that ultimately never got made, causing him to lose a couple of years. He never worked in television, despite receiving major offers from the medium. He recalled how fortunate he was when Ekta Kapoor approached him in 2005 to narrate a story. At just 20 years old, he was too young to fully grasp it, admitting that he was simply staring at her rings while she narrated a complete rockstar character to him.
Clarification On Rejecting The Project
Addressing the rejection of the project, Qazi explained that he could not directly say no to Ekta Kapoor, so he whispered to Anupama, asking if she genuinely wanted to work with him. He noted how kind they were, with Anupama telling him that he could decline if he did not wish to do it. Qazi informed them that he had already signed a film and was bound by a contract. However, the next morning, he woke up to headlines stating that Qazi had rejected Ekta Kapoor's project. He clarified that he never betrayed anyone, but back then, social media did not exist to give clarifications, leading the media to paint him as the villain even though he deeply respects her.
