Witnessing the growing trend of neon sports in cities like Dubai, Chennai, and Bengaluru, founder Akhil of Nomad Hub decided to bring this concept to Hyderabad. Akhil explains that while Hyderabad has a massive and active community of badminton players, everyone has traditionally played on ordinary courts. The goal was to offer players a fresh, thrilling party vibe alongside physical fitness.
A Blacklight Studio Built Through 48 Hours Of Labor
The sports facility features a total of 5 courts, out of which 2 synthetic courts have been specially converted into a blacklight studio. The team spent 48 consecutive hours of manual labor applying special fluorescent tape along the court boundaries. This setup operates on safe UVA wavelengths similar to a bowling alley. Players are provided with fluorescent shoes, nylon glowing shuttlecocks, and reflective jackets. Launched in June 2026, a 15-second reel of this court went viral overnight on the internet, garnering over 24 lakh views.

With energetic music playing in the background, the venue has transformed from a rigorous workout space into a favorite hangout spot for friends and family gatherings. Located in Tellapur, Nomad Sports Hub opens daily starting at 5 PM. The experience costs 800 rupees per hour, accommodating up to 6 players per slot, which includes rackets, shoes, and required gear.
