Abhijeet Dipke, who founded the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), was taken into short-term custody at Marine Drive police station when law enforcement personnel spotted him holding signboards along the renowned coastal road. According to an official, Mr. Dipke had assembled along Marine Drive accompanied by several backers carrying display placards. “A police squad featuring a female inspector approached Dipke and drove him to Marine Drive police station inside an official van. While en route, the female officer questioned him regarding his background and home city,” the official stated.
