NCP Chief Sharad Pawar Discharged From Pune Hospital, PM Narendra Modi Calls To Check On His Health

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with NCP leader Sharad Pawar following his discharge from a Pune medical facility, praising Supriya Sule and urging the veteran politician to focus on rest.

Veteran political figure and NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar) chief Sharad Pawar has been discharged from Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune after a two-day stay for observation and medical checkups. Following his release and departure toward Mumbai, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out over a phone call to enquire about his recovery and exchange warm words.

A Cordial Exchange Between Political Leaders

Details regarding the morning phone call were shared with the press by Pawar's long-time family friend Vitthal Maniyar. According to Maniyar, Prime Minister Modi advised the senior leader to leave all public worries aside. During the conversation, Modi remarked that Supriya Sule has matured into leadership, while adding that national responsibilities are well in hand, reassuring Pawar that he can direct his full focus toward rest and recovery.

Acknowledging the Prime Minister's gesture, Pawar conveyed his gratitude in good spirits. The NCP supremo replied that with experienced hands steering the country, he feels no anxiety about national affairs and encouraged Modi to keep pushing ahead with the work of governance.

Medical Evaluation and Reason for Hospitalization

Addressing questions regarding the nature of the illness, Vitthal Maniyar reassured the public that there were no alarming developments. He noted that Pawar has always been proactive about personal health matters. Two days earlier, he experienced mild coughing and chest tightness, which prompted his medical team to admit him for detailed routine examinations.

Maniyar stated that diagnostic test results returned clean and completely normal. He noted,

"Sharad Pawar's health is very good; there is no serious problem."
The attending medical staff prescribed simple treatments for the minor symptoms, emphasizing that physical rest remained the primary necessity.

Travel to Mumbai and Further Checkups

While the veteran leader was ready to return home a day earlier, associates and physicians persuaded him to remain under observation for one more evening to guarantee proper recovery. Maniyar explained that the mild weakness remaining would soon dissipate once regular diet and routine resume.

Prior to his departure, Supriya Sule had also released an update regarding her father's schedule. She shared that he was being moved to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai for additional diagnostic assessments, expressing deep gratitude to supporters and well-wishers for their concern and continuous prayers.
