Amid this natural disaster, the most alarming development is that 275 Indian citizens remain missing, triggering a massive ground zero rescue operation to locate them. Expressing solidarity with Nepal regarding environmental concerns, India stated that climate change is a shared challenge and asserted that developed nations, bearing the responsibility for historical emissions, must step up emission cuts, provide climate funds, and transfer technology to developing countries. Fulfilling its neighborly duties, India has stood firmly as a shield, dispatching a total of 95 tons of relief material to Nepal during this crisis. This latest briefing from the Ministry of External Affairs has heightened the anxiety of families searching for their loved ones while simultaneously sparking a glimmer of hope through a high-speed relief mission.
Joint Mission And Ground Updates Between India And Nepal
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal informed that 275 Indian nationals have been reported missing since the floods struck Nepal. The Indian government is in round-the-clock contact with the government of Nepal, its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and relevant state governments in India to track the locations of the missing individuals. India has appreciated the cooperation extended by Nepalese authorities during this rescue operation. The ministry is also regularly releasing lists and names of the rescued individuals.
166 Rescued Safely And Tibet Route Fully Cleared
Through ongoing rescue operations in Nepal, a total of 166 Indian citizens have been successfully rescued. Additionally, 1,907 Indian nationals travelling via the China-Nepal border have safely entered Nepalese territory. Citing official Chinese sources, the Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that no Indian travelers or tourists remain trapped in China's Tibet Autonomous Region, with all of them having been safely evacuated.
95 Tons Of Relief Material And Preparations For Bailey Bridges
Upholding its promise to provide all possible assistance based on Nepal's needs, India has delivered 95 tons of relief material so far. In response to requests from Nepal, additional forensic kits for DNA sampling, Bailey bridges to reconnect broken roads, and other essential equipment are being dispatched in the coming days. A specialized tunnel rescue team from the Indian Army is also deployed on the ground.

Responding to statements made by the Foreign Minister of Nepal regarding climate change, Randhir Jaiswal stated that India has always maintained that climate change is a shared challenge. Developed countries have played a major historical role in carbon emissions. Therefore, they should take the initiative to cut emissions and provide necessary funds and technology to developing nations.
