Following its transition into a municipal corporation, Firozabad has witnessed mounting concerns regarding deteriorating pathways and poor civic infrastructure across several wards. With the government granting substantial multi-crore funds to the civic body for urban development, the administration has initiated groundbreaking ceremonies to address long-standing grievances. For years, residents in various city wards suffered due to unpaved muddy lanes and chronic waterlogging, making daily commute an uphill task. Prompted by public complaints, the civic authorities have commenced extensive repair works, channeling large sums into constructing robust concrete streets.
Seventy Lakh Rupees Allocated for Kanhaiya Nagar
Firozabad Mayor Kamini Rathore stated that the corporation is continuously rolling out infrastructure projects to upgrade unpaved pathways across all wards. Ward number 19 had been a primary source of distress calls, particularly the Kanhaiya Nagar locality, where lanes remained rugged and undeveloped for years, exposing residents to severe sanitation and waterlogging hazards. The administrative approach in this pocket is now shifting towards rapid development. An estimated budget of seventy lakh rupees is being deployed to overhaul the streets of this neighborhood, which will finally liberate citizens from persistent infrastructural bottlenecks.
Transforming the City on Smart City Lines
Highlighting the broader vision, Mayor Kamini Rathore explained that multi-crore budgets are being systematically utilized to eradicate lane and drainage troubles in every ward. Where drainage is lacking, new storm-water drains are being constructed, and funds are actively channeled into fixing muddy terrain. In the coming days, every single lane is envisioned to be transformed into a clean, paved thoroughfare. Groundbreaking rituals are taking place across multiple locations, while local ward councilors are actively coordinating on the ground to ensure that community grievances find timely resolution.
