A series of four dedicated toll-free helpline numbers has been launched to strengthen public grievance redressal and curb illegal activities in West Bengal, following a high-level meeting held in Siliguri. According to information shared on social media platform X, the discussion was conducted alongside Chief Minister Suvendu WB and other senior administration officials. The initiative aims to empower citizens to register direct complaints regarding systemic corruption, financial extortion, and illegal trade practices across the state.
Helpline Numbers and Grievance Redressal Mechanism
The review session in Siliguri focused on creating an accessible administrative channel for citizens to report local corruption and extortion without intermediate friction. The four helplines cover key areas of public concern including cut money extortion, syndicate operations, unauthorized toll collection, and illegal liquor manufacturing and distribution.
The specific toll-free numbers released for public use are as follows
- Cut Money Complaints: 155334
- Syndicate Activity Reporting: 155335
- Illegal Road and Toll Tax Complaints: 155337

By establishing these dedicated lines, the administration aims to ensure direct reporting from citizens, enabling faster verification and official intervention against unauthorized fees and local cartels.
