Defence Minister Rajnath Singh announced on social media platform X that he is currently on a visit to his parliamentary constituency, Lucknow. A key highlight of this trip is his presence at the inauguration ceremony of the Lucknow-Kanpur Expressway. This major infrastructure project is designed to significantly improve connectivity and streamline transport between these two vital urban centers in Uttar Pradesh.
Faster Transit Between Cities
The operationalization of this new expressway marks a major shift in local transportation efficiency. According to Rajnath Singh, once the route is fully functional, commuters will be able to complete the journey between Lucknow and Kanpur in just 45 to 50 minutes. By drastically cutting down travel time, the project is expected to boost both personal convenience and industrial logistics, serving as a landmark development for the region's infrastructure.
