During a public address in Begusarai, Bihar, Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a fierce verbal counterattack against key opposition figures. Responding to remarks by Rahul Gandhi suggesting punishment for the Election Commission, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah, the Union Minister invoked an old adage, stating that a cow does not die from a butcher's curse. He maintained that while sacred cattle are revered by the faithful, malicious wishes from adversaries hold no power to inflict harm.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha Event
The remarks came during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha organized at Mahakal Temple in Khatopur, Begusarai, marking the completion of 25 years in public service by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at the venue, Giriraj Singh highlighted the equitable welfare measures undertaken by the central leadership across diverse sections of society. He pointed out that the administration has actively supported OBC, SC, and general category communities alike, citing the success of 104 candidates from the general category qualifying in the UPSC examinations as evidence of balanced opportunities.
Stance on University Grants Commission Regulations
When questioned about the implementation of UGC regulations in the country, Giriraj Singh took a definitive stand against the opposition's claims. He stated unequivocally that UGC rules will not be enforced at any cost, dismissing allegations as baseless agitation. According to him, opposing political voices have developed a habit of demonstrating resistance solely for political optics rather than genuine societal concerns.
Critique of Opposition Protests Against SIR
Addressing the protest march launched by Tejashwi Yadav against SIR, Giriraj Singh criticized the entire exercise as ineffective and politically hollow. He noted that the regional leader spent two months touring several districts alongside Rahul Gandhi, yet failed to bring forth even a single documented instance of a legitimate voter whose name was wrongfully excluded from electoral rolls. Despite extensive district tours, no concrete evidence was submitted to the Election Commission for rectifying any voter registry discrepancies.
Accusations of Creating Illegal Vote Banks
Directing his strongest accusations at the motives behind these ongoing agitations, Giriraj Singh asserted that the primary political goal is to turn Bangladeshi Muslim migrants into a captive electoral constituency. He declared firmly that as long as the NDA administration remains in office, no force in the world will succeed in converting illegal migrants into a local vote bank, reaffirming a strict stance on national integrity and lawful voter rolls.
