Following the release of the JEE Advanced rank list, Mahroof Ahmad Khan's top position of AIR 32 made him easily eligible for a BTech Computer Science seat at IIT Bombay during counselling. On the other hand, his twin brother Masroor, holding AIR 169, faced a situation where obtaining the same Computer Science stream at IIT Bombay was unlikely due to strict rank cutoffs. Had Mahroof accepted the offer at IIT Bombay, Masroor would have had to enroll at a different Indian Institute of Technology in another city.
