Thirteen-year-old Ojas Tripathi, a resident of Sultanpur, has achieved a significant milestone by winning a gold medal at a national-level Taekwondo competition. Currently studying in the sixth grade, Ojas has brought immense pride to both his district and the state of Uttar Pradesh through his exceptional performance. This success is the result of three years of rigorous training and unwavering dedication, during which he actively participated in numerous state and regional tournaments, consistently securing medals and honing his skills.
A Rising Star in Taekwondo
Residing in the Vivek Nagar area of Sultanpur, Ojas initially took up Taekwondo as a means of self-defense. However, his passion for the sport quickly evolved into a serious pursuit. Ojas notes that he has already clinched several medals, including gold, at provincial-level events. While balancing his academic responsibilities as a school student, he remains intensely focused on his athletic training and is actively preparing for future national championships.
The Role of Family and Mentorship
The foundation of Ojas's success lies in the constant support provided by his family. His father, a teacher, works hard to ensure that Ojas receives the necessary resources and professional training to advance in his sport. Meanwhile, his mother plays a crucial role as a homemaker by providing the emotional support and motivation required to excel. Ojas openly attributes his achievements to his parents and his mentor, Amina Bano, who has been instrumental in his development as a young athlete.
Aiming for Global Heights
Under the guidance of his coach Amina Bano, who has been training him for several years, Ojas has developed a disciplined approach to Taekwondo. Amina Bano continues to provide the technical expertise necessary to help him refine his techniques. Looking ahead, Ojas has set his sights beyond the national circuit, aspiring to participate in international Taekwondo competitions. His ultimate dream is to represent the country on a global stage, bring home a gold medal, and earn recognition for his nation, district, and family on the international platform.
