Legal representatives clarified that until bail is secured in these remaining two matters as well, his physical release from custody cannot be processed.

Authorities originally detained the monk on November 25, 2024, at Dhaka Airport. He previously served as a leader and spokesperson for ISKCON before taking on an active role as spokesperson for the Bangladesh Sammilita Sanatani Jagran Jote. On November 27, 2024, violent clashes erupted outside the Chattogram court building between his supporters and law enforcement agencies, resulting in the death of a lawyer.
