Heating up the competition in the Indian mid-size SUV territory, Honda has officially released the first teaser of the refreshed Elevate. Alongside unveiling the design previews on October 1, the automaker initiated customer bookings across its authorized dealership network. Interested buyers can reserve the updated vehicle by placing an advance deposit of Rs 21,000. The commercial rollout of this vehicle in the domestic market is scheduled for October 6, 2026. India also holds the distinction of being the first market worldwide to introduce this mid-cycle update to buyers.
Front Fascia Receives Noticeable Cosmetic Updates
Visual details revealed in the preview highlight significant cosmetic upgrades concentrated at the front profile. A segmented horizontal LED lighting signature now extends inward from either side toward the middle. The front grille sports a restyled black mesh pattern along with an altered placement for the signature Honda emblem. Structural elements such as the clamshell bonnet layout and functional roof rails appear largely similar to the outgoing edition. Furthermore, redesigned front and rear bumpers, fresh alloy wheel patterns, and twin LED tail lamp strips at the rear are expected to give the vehicle a bolder road presence.
Refreshed Cabin Theme and Enhanced Premium Appointments
Inside the cabin, the basic architecture remains familiar to the original vehicle, but material finishes have undergone meaningful enhancements to boost aesthetic appeal. The preview highlights a dual-tone black and white dashboard finish paired with integrated ambient lighting. This refreshed color palette, complemented by updated seat upholstery and decorative trim finishes, lends the interior an upscale touch aimed at improving passenger comfort during long journeys.
Expanded Equipment Roster With Ventilated Seats and Surround View
The mid-cycle update brings critical equipment additions that directly address modern buyer expectations. Foremost among these is an expected 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment interface. High-grade variants are also slated to receive factory-fitted ventilated front seating alongside a 360-degree parking monitor. Previously, customers could only obtain these conveniences as external dealer accessories, whereas the upcoming edition will integrate them directly from the factory floor.
Comprehensive Safety Suite Powered by Honda Sensing
On the safety front, the SUV continues to rely on advanced driver-assistance systems. The suite includes Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist System, and Road Departure Mitigation. Modest refinements across the operational software of this safety package are expected with the update. Additionally, the inclusion of a comprehensive surround-view camera setup will aid drivers during tight parking maneuvers and city navigation.
Familiar 1.5-Litre Petrol Engine Remains Unaltered
Underneath the hood, mechanical specifications remain steady with no alterations to powertrain architecture. The vehicle retains its proven 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 121 hp along with 145 Nm of torque. Buyers will continue to have the choice between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a CVT automatic transmission. Consequently, development work has centered on enhancing visual appeal and cabin technology rather than overhauling the underlying propulsion systems.
Price Announcement Expected on Launch Day
Official showroom pricing for the updated SUV will be made public during the formal introduction on October 6. Factoring in the newly added factory equipment, updated lighting design, and premium interior treatments, showroom prices are expected to command a modest revision compared to the current outgoing variant.
