Tragic Suicide Incident Shakes Muzaffarpur
A deeply distressing incident has emerged from Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, where a 26-year-old man committed suicide by leaping in front of a train in the Kanti police station area. The tragic event has plunged the deceased's family into profound grief. According to initial reports, the young man's body was discovered on the railway tracks near Kaparpura station, situated on the Muzaffarpur-Motihari railway line.
Suicide Note Reveals Deep Emotional Turmoil
A crucial suicide note was recovered by the police at the scene, adding a serious dimension to the case. In this note, the young man explicitly held his wife's alleged love affair responsible for his death. The deceased has been identified as Abhay Kumar, a 26-year-old resident of Sirsia Khurd village, which falls under the Kanti police station jurisdiction. Abhay Kumar wrote in the note, “My wife is the reason for my death. She loves a boy from her village. His pictures were on her phone. I didn't like any of this. I was suffocating inside. This became the cause of my death. Sorry my family.”
Marital Discord and Family's Allegations
According to information provided by Abhay Kumar's family, he was married on December 1, 2025. Tensions had reportedly been present in the couple's relationship almost since the beginning of their marriage. The family alleges that some time after their wedding, Abhay Kumar discovered his wife's involvement with another man. This revelation reportedly caused him continuous mental stress. Abhay Kumar worked in Jaipur and had taken his wife to live with him there after their marriage.
Threatening Messages and Domestic Dispute
Abhay Kumar's sister-in-law stated that he became severely distressed after learning about his wife's alleged affair. She claimed that while Abhay Kumar's wife was visiting her parents' home, he began receiving photos, videos, and threatening messages related to the affair on his mobile phone. Abhay Kumar's brother further explained that upon uncovering details of these relationships, Abhay Kumar traveled directly from Jaipur to his in-laws' house, where a significant dispute ensued. Following this confrontation, Abhay Kumar reportedly fell into a deeper state of stress.
Police Investigation Underway
According to Kanti Police Station in-charge Ravikant Pathak, local police and GRP (Government Railway Police) teams promptly arrived at the scene upon receiving information about the incident. Prima facie, the case appears to be one of suicide. The police have recovered the suicide note from the site. Following the family's refusal to allow a post-mortem, Abhay Kumar's body was handed over to them. The police also stated that further legal action will be taken based on the written application from the family and the evidence available.
