The Supreme Court has issued a very strict and clear directive regarding the offerings and donations received at the renowned Banke Bihari Temple in Vrindavan. The apex court of the country has ordered that every single paisa coming through the temple donation boxes or via online modes must go straight into the official temple treasury without any diversion or manipulation.
Strict Warning Against Interference by Sevayats
During the proceedings, the court also warned that any attempts by the sevayats or any other party to create hurdles or interfere in this process will be viewed with utmost seriousness. Concerns regarding irregularities and mismanagement in temple offerings have surfaced previously, making the Supreme Court's latest stance highly significant.
Transparent System and Rules for Property Acquisition
To ensure absolute transparency in the management of donations, the Supreme Court has directed the managing committee to implement a foolproof and transparent system. Additionally, the court has stipulated that any proposal to purchase property using temple funds must be brought before the court for clearance before the transaction is finalized.
