Sohail Khan is set to make his reality television debut as a contestant on the Prime Video show Alliance, marking the very first time he has stepped into a reality show format. Ahead of his entry, Sohail revealed how his brother Salman Khan reacted the moment he learned about this decision.
Salman's warning came with a blessing
According to Sohail, Salman was taken aback when he found out that his brother was joining Alliance. Salman directly asked him, are you sure what big decision you are taking? Sohail says that within that one line was both a warning and a blessing from his brother.
No star name, only mind and strategy will work
Sohail has made it clear that on this show, neither Salman's stardom nor his own name, nor the status of coming from a film family, will count for anything. He says that inside the show, only his mind and his strategy can carve out his path. Sohail stressed that where he comes from and who he is will not matter at all once he is inside the show, only he, his mind and his game will matter there.
Looking to build a fresh identity
Sohail explained that he has not entered the show as the brother of a superstar but with the intention of building his own separate identity. He said that if fans get to see a different and unfamiliar side of him during the show, that alone will be his biggest win and the true reward of his effort. Sohail admitted he had never even dreamt that he would one day become part of a reality show, which makes this an entirely new experience for him.
Watching Bigg Boss taught him about the pressure
Sohail shared that he has watched Salman host Bigg Boss for a long time, and through that he has seen how much drama unfolds on such shows, how much energy contestants need, and how intense the emotional pressure can get at times. Based on that experience, Sohail believes that no reality show is ever easy to play.
Challenging rivals without letting them notice
Speaking about Alliance specifically, Sohail said the show itself will not be easy to play either. He explained that a contestant has to give tough competition to others without letting them sense it coming, and it was precisely this element of the format that convinced him to say yes to the show.
