Security concerns across the entertainment world have escalated sharply following fresh threats directed at high-profile figures. Coming closely after an incident involving gunfire at actor Tiger Shroff's car, new bomb threats have now emerged targeting veteran film icon Amitabh Bachchan and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The alarming warning was delivered through an email received at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation office of Mayor Ritu Tawde, claiming impending strikes against civic administrative premises, educational institutions, and celebrity residences across Mumbai.
Threat Details Covering Mayor Office, Schools, and Jalsa
The threatening electronic mail landed in the inbox of Mayor Ritu Tawde's office at roughly 11:30 AM on Friday. The sender issued precise timelines, alleging that multiple Mumbai schools would be struck by 1:00 PM and the civic chief's headquarters would be targeted by 3:00 PM the same afternoon. Furthermore, the message claimed that Amitabh Bachchan's well-known Jalsa residence in Juhu would be struck at some point between October 31 and November 27.
Mumbai Police mobilized instantly upon receiving the alert, deploying detection teams and bomb disposal specialists to carry out rigorous sanitization checks across all mentioned locations. Following thorough physical screenings, Mumbai Police DCP Manish Kalwaniya confirmed that nothing suspicious or hazardous was uncovered during the operations, pointing to the threat being a hoax call. Investigators strongly suspect the involvement of an outfit known as the KNA Group, a faction linked to several similar hoax email campaigns that have triggered false alarms over recent months.
Concert Venues Under Scrutiny and Tour Disruption
The threatening dispatch also explicitly singled out Diljit Dosanjh's ongoing Aura India Tour. The singer's live performance in Mumbai is scheduled to take place on November 27 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, where authorities have now intensified preventive surveillance and perimeter security protocols.
Simultaneously, major logistical fallout occurred in the national capital. Delhi Police revoked administrative permission for Diljit Dosanjh's concert, which had been scheduled for October 30 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. According to law enforcement authorities in Delhi, this cancellation came in response to heightened festive season commitments, overall security demands, and prior threatening correspondence received on October 15. That earlier batch of hoax messages had targeted educational institutions in Delhi while explicitly advising students against attending the musical gathering.
Police Agencies Step Up Joint Precautions
In response to the multi-city security warnings, both Mumbai Police and Delhi Police have stepped up operational vigilance. Dedicated cyber intelligence units are analyzing server headers, proxy chains, and originating internet protocols to track down the sender behind the threats. While police evaluations indicate that the alerts are deceptive disruptions rather than active physical devices, law enforcement continues to maintain heightened security around venues and prominent personalities to guarantee complete public safety.
