While the official theatrical release date for Apoorva Lakhia's directorial venture Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace remains unannounced, fresh musical releases are steadily building excitement among fans. Superstar Salman Khan recently took to social media to unveil the film's brand-new track, titled Jai Hind. The patriotic anthem has been composed by prominent music director Himesh Reshammiya. Bankrolled under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the song features vocals by playback singer Stebin Ben. In the promotional clips, Salman Khan can be seen essaying the role of an Indian military officer who is vigorously training his troops for combat. The stirring lyrics for this patriotic number have been penned by veteran lyricist Sameer Anjaan.
A Lyrical Video Dedicated to Soldiers
Sharing details about the track on Instagram, Salman Khan noted that two days out of the entire year are hardly enough to show love, respect, and patriotism for one's homeland, as this sentiment should resonate all year round, boss. He presented the lyrical video of #JaiHind for his followers, expressing hope that they would appreciate it while playfully adding that if they do not, Himesh and Stebin's social media handles are always available for feedback. This special release stands as a soulful tribute to the nation's brave soldiers and their families. The lyrical video incorporates action snippets of Salman Khan from the movie alongside the song's title rendered in multiple Indian languages, further amplifying the emotional depth of the composition.
Balancing Battle Sequences With Family Moments
The visual snippets accompanying the track do not merely focus on intense war zones and military drills; they also weave in tender domestic moments. These scenes portray Salman Khan and Chitrangda Singh sharing quality time as a family unit alongside their twin sons. The song serves as a poignant homage to individuals who sacrifice everything to safeguard the country and its citizens. Earlier, the movie's track Chand Dekh Lena had generated considerable buzz and appreciation across digital platforms.
Collaboration of Salman Khan and Himesh Reshammiya
The verses crafted by Sameer Anjaan emphasize that the core identity of the protagonist lies in being a dedicated patriot and a soldier. Through this project, Salman Khan and composer Himesh Reshammiya have reunited after a significant hiatus, having previously delivered chart-topping musical hits together in films such as Tere Name and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya. Furthermore, Stebin Ben's expressive vocals bring out the untold emotional journey and sacrifices embedded in a soldier's life.
Production Status and Clearance Updates
Written by Chintan Gandhi and directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Maatrubhumi is currently undergoing its post-production phase. Industry reports indicate that once the final cut is locked, the makers will submit the film to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for formal clearance. It remains undetermined whether the feature will arrive in cinemas during 2026. Although initial announcements indicated the project drew inspiration from the Battle of Galwan, several critical revisions were implemented over time. Earlier this month, reports confirmed that the modified version of the feature secured a no-objection certificate from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, clearing a major regulatory hurdle for its eventual premiere.
