A sharp consumer pivot toward premium smartphones across the country has propelled Apple India into record territory, lifting its annual top line past the historic 1 lakh crore rupee threshold in financial year 2026. Regulatory filings submitted to the Registrar of Companies reveal that the technology major posted major expansions across both revenue and net earnings.
Accelerating Top Line and Net Profit
According to the official corporate filings, revenue from operations climbed 31 percent year on year to touch 1,03,853 crore rupees in financial year 2026, moving up from 79,060 crore rupees reported in financial year 2025. This rate of expansion outpaced the previous financial year, when annual top-line growth had settled at 18 percent.
Net earnings showed an even steeper upward trajectory during the period. Profit after tax jumped 66 percent to 5,311 crore rupees in financial year 2026, compared to 3,196 crore rupees in the prior fiscal year. That contrasts sharply with financial year 2025, when the company's net profit had recorded a comparatively moderate growth rate of 16 percent.
Premiumisation Trend Drives iPhone Volumes
The stellar financial numbers arrived against the backdrop of an otherwise sluggish broader smartphone industry. The country's overall handset market expanded by only 2 percent in volume terms and 9 percent in value terms over the course of financial year 2026. However, handsets priced above 30,000 rupees outpaced the broader landscape by registering a 12 percent volume expansion.
Apple capitalised directly on this growing appetite for high-end consumer technology. The company registered a 24 percent surge in iPhone shipment volumes in financial year 2026, more than doubling the 11 percent volume growth recorded in financial year 2025. The data underlines how domestic buyers are allocating higher budgets to high-tier mobile devices.
Surpassing Samsung in Mobile Revenue
These latest financial disclosures place Apple in a dominant standing against its chief rival, Samsung Electronics India. While Samsung maintained an overall top line of 1.12 lakh crore rupees for financial year 2026, that figure encompasses its television division, consumer home appliances, and telecom equipment units.
In the standalone mobile handset business, Samsung experienced a 1.4 percent contraction, with its mobile division revenue slipping to 81,472 crore rupees. With Apple India posting operational earnings above 1.03 lakh crore rupees, the company established a decisive lead in pure mobile handset sales revenue across the domestic landscape.
