Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has finalized the sale of another real estate asset located in the prime neighborhood of Bandra West in Mumbai. Official property registration records indicate that the actor sold his 758 sq ft apartment in the Shiv Asthan Heights building for Rs 3.5 crore. As part of the transaction, the buyer paid Rs 21 lakh in stamp duty along with a registration fee of Rs 30 thousand to complete the official documentation.
Real Estate Investment and Past Sales Record
Looking at the transaction history of this property, Salman Khan originally acquired the 758 sq ft apartment back in 2015 for Rs 2.88 crore. The recent transaction reflects an appreciation in value over the past 11 years. Interestingly, this was not the actor's only holding in the building. Salman Khan owned another residential apartment in the same Shiv Asthan Heights complex, which he previously sold in July 2025 for a valuation of Rs 5.35 crore. The divestment of these Bandra West units highlights ongoing adjustments in his overall real estate holdings.
Galaxy Apartments Legacy and Shifting Plans
This property sale comes amid widespread discussion surrounding the actor's primary residence. For the past 52 years, spanning over five decades, Salman Khan has been residing at the iconic Galaxy Apartments in Bandra alongside his family. The residence holds deep sentimental value for the family and has long been a landmark for fans. However, recent developments suggest that the actor may move out of Galaxy Apartments to relocate into a new 6-storey standalone house, primarily motivated by heightened security considerations.
Construction Approvals and Family Trivia
Preparations for the proposed new residence have already progressed on the regulatory front. On June 16, the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority granted official construction approval for the new 6-storey building. Reflecting on their long stay at Galaxy Apartments, father Salim Khan had mentioned in an interview that he once advised Salman to relocate to a larger property that suited his massive stardom. However, Salman preferred to stay in his long-time home. Salim Khan had also revealed that the offer to purchase the famous Mannat property was originally presented to him before Shah Rukh Khan acquired it, though he declined the opportunity at the time.
