Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja has broken her silence over the intense trolling she faced during her time on the second season of Lock Up, opening up on why she used abusive language on national television despite her image as a deeply religious woman.
Sunita Ahuja became one of the most talked about contestants on Lock Up 2 in the last few days, even though she has already exited the show. During her stint, she made several eyebrow raising revelations and was seen cursing on multiple occasions, prompting many viewers to question how someone so religious could use such language. She has now addressed that criticism head on.
A Health Scare Cut Her Journey Short
Sunita Ahuja had to walk out of Lock Up 2 midway because of her health, a development that left the audience stunned given how much attention her personality had drawn on the show. Her abrupt departure became a talking point on its own, separate from the row over her language.
Trolled for Cursing Despite Her Religious Image
Throughout her run on the show, Sunita Ahuja was frequently seen speaking in her trademark blunt style, and that included repeated use of abusive language. Because she is widely known to be religious, this drew sharp criticism online, with several people linking her behaviour to her faith and asking how a religious woman could curse so freely. Sunita said that staying silent is not necessary when someone provokes or insults a person without reason.
'I Return One Curse With Two,' Sunita Says
In a conversation with ANI, Sunita Ahuja was directly asked about the criticism that she is extremely religious yet uses a lot of abusive language. Responding to the question, she said, tell me one thing, if someone comes up to you and abuses you, will you shower flowers on them in return? You will say that you answer one abuse of theirs with two.
She added that no one who is cursed at would turn around and ask to be cursed at some more. She said she is not foolish enough to stay quiet if someone speaks to her rudely or troubles her, and made it clear that she absolutely will not sit back quietly, because she is not someone who tolerates such behaviour.
'Every Woman Should Live Life on Her Own Terms'
Sunita Ahuja said she does not belong to the category of women who silently endure everything that is said to them. She said every woman should live her life according to her own choices, adding that she always tells women to live their own life and live for themselves. She also asked which woman never curses when she is angry, suggesting that reacting sharply in the heat of the moment is only natural.
A Fan Favourite Before Her Exit
Sunita Ahuja had won over viewers with her personality on Lock Up 2 and gave audiences a glimpse of a side of her they had not seen before. However, she recently had to step away from the show because of her health.
