Ahead of the theatrical rollout of her upcoming horror comedy project, actress Yami Gautam Dhar arrived in Bihar to pay obeisance at the revered Takht Sri Harimandir Ji Patna Sahib Gurdwara. Greeted by enthusiastic crowds and the resonant beats of traditional dhol drums, the visit drew widespread attention across digital platforms. Inside the sanctum of the gurdwara, she bowed her head in gratitude and offered prayers for the success of her forthcoming cinematic venture, spending moments of quiet contemplation within the peaceful complex.
Understated Elegance and Traditional Grace
During her pilgrimage to the historic site, the actress opted for an understated and graceful appearance that resonated with onlookers. She wore a green kurta and pajama ensemble complemented by a matching dupatta. Delicate needlework and intricate embroidery adorned the ethnic outfit, adding a touch of classic refinement to her attire. Visuals captured from the premises showed her sitting reverently with folded hands, maintaining religious decorum as she prayed for peace and positive reception for her cinematic work.
From Bhangra to the Moonwalk: Tackling a Multi-Genre Dance Sequence
Engaging with local audiences during her city visit, the actor offered behind-the-scenes insights into the shooting of the upbeat track titled Bhabhi Tabaahi. She recounted how the production schedule kicked off with a surprisingly demanding choreography assignment right from day one. The energetic number required her to blend six contrasting dance forms, shifting fluidly from vigorous folk bhangra rhythms to Michael Jackson's signature moonwalk. Recalling the moment, she noted that director Balaji Mohan playfully suggested that she perform whatever felt natural to her, provided she incorporated a bit of the moonwalk. While the request initially caught her off guard, she embraced the quirky requirement and thoroughly enjoyed executing the dynamic sequence.
Plot Dynamics: A Meerut Household and an Eerie Premise
The premise of the upcoming feature, introduced to audiences through its promotional preview last month, centres on the arrival of a newly wedded bride into a turbulent household situated in Meerut. Her entry instantly ushers in unexpected tranquility, harmony, and joy. However, the newfound domestic bliss unravels when the younger brother-in-law begins suspecting that his seemingly flawless sister-in-law harbours a sinister identity and might actually be a witch. The narrative balances lighthearted family interactions against unsettling supernatural suspense.
Creative Lineup and Scheduled Theatrical Premiere
The venture marks the Hindi directorial debut of acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan. The script has been penned jointly by Himanshu Sharma and Divya Nidhi Sharma, with production led by Aanand L Rai alongside Himanshu Sharma. Set to entertain festive cinema-goers, the horror comedy is officially scheduled to release in theatres on October 16, just ahead of the Dussehra festivities.
