Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has completed a significant real estate transaction in Mumbai. The actor has sold an apartment located at Shiv Asthan Heights in the prime locality of Bandra West for a total of Rs 3.50 crore. Salman Khan had originally acquired this unit in 2015 for Rs 2.88 crore. Consequently, the sale has yielded a profit of approximately Rs 62 lakh for the actor. While this appears to be a gain, the relatively modest appreciation of property value over an eleven-year period in a high-demand city like Mumbai has drawn attention, as such a small profit margin on a celebrity's investment is somewhat unexpected.
Details of the Transaction and Buyers
According to available records, the property transaction was finalized on July 9. The apartment was purchased by Munir Akbarali Dandawala, Mahadiali Akbarali Dandawala, and Zehra Madiali Dandawala. The buyers paid a stamp duty of approximately Rs 21 lakh, along with an additional registration fee of Rs 30,000. It is worth noting that Salman Khan has not released any official statement or confirmation regarding this sale to date.
Apartment Specifications and Market Valuation
The apartment sold by the actor features a carpet area of 758 square feet and includes the facility for two car parking slots. Based on the registration valuation, the property was sold at a rate of Rs 46,000 per square foot of carpet area. This is not the first instance of Salman Khan selling property in this specific building. In July 2025, he sold another apartment in the same Bandra West building for Rs 5.35 crore, which spanned a larger carpet area of approximately 1,318 square feet.
The Family Residence
Salman Khan currently resides with his family in the iconic Galaxy Apartments, also located in Bandra. This has been the family home since 1974. The building remains registered under the name of the actor's mother, Salma Khan. Despite his occasional real estate investments and divestments, Galaxy Apartments continues to serve as the primary residence for the Khan family.
