Under the statewide Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 3.0 initiative directed by the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, a specialized employment drive was successfully conducted at the Government ITI campus in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh. Despite challenging weather conditions on the day of the event, more than 45 differently-abled job seekers participated with remarkable enthusiasm. The job fair achieved significant success by securing immediate career and self-employment pathways for 20 candidates across diverse industries. Opportunities ranged from flexible work-from-home positions to corporate roles in data operation, banking, and technical services, marking a progressive step toward empowering disabled youth in the region.
Breakdown of Placements and Corporate Participation
The employment drive brought together trained candidates from various skill development initiatives, including the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), Government ITI certificate programs, and independent applicants. Through the active involvement of Sarthak Foundation, 13 candidates secured positions, including 3 selected as Computer Data Operators, 3 placed within the banking sector, and 7 assigned to remote work-from-home roles that offer accessible employment options.
In addition to remote and office roles, the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana saw 6 candidates undergo evaluation, resulting in 4 of them securing placements at MCF Solutions. Furthermore, 3 candidates were connected with specialized self-employment programs designed to help them establish independent business ventures. In total, 20 out of the 45 participants successfully obtained verified employment or self-employment commitments during the single-day event.
Institutional Support and State Livelihood Campaign
Government ITI Principal Ajay Kumar emphasized that this specific fair marked the first time the campus organized an event dedicated exclusively to providing sustainable job opportunities for differently-abled individuals. He reiterated the institution's commitment to fulfilling government directives by extending dignified employment and financial independence to as many disabled youth in Chandauli district as possible. Institutional leaders noted that the positive turnout demonstrates strong candidate interest and sets an encouraging precedent for upcoming events.
Outlining the broader scope of the campaign, Amit Kumar Srivastava, District Manager of the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission, explained that Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyan 3.0 is operating across all districts of Uttar Pradesh from August 3 to August 10 under instructions from the mission director. He urged selected candidates to view their new appointments as a transformative foundation for long-term personal and professional growth. Officials expressed confidence that the ongoing campaign will continue to onboard many more differently-abled job seekers across the state before its conclusion on August 10.
